Follows four characters with entwining lives: Grace, a devoted therapist in Montreal; a man who encounters Grace after his attempt to hanging himself fails; Mitch, Grace's ex-husband and therapist, who travels to a struggling native community in the Arctic; and Grace's troubled teenage patient, Annie, who runs away to New York.
